Tips to Enjoy
Access: The festival is handicap accessible, and will happen, rain or shine! Although all major activities are under cover, it would be best to wear sunscreen and bring rain gear.
Pets: Please make alternate arrangements for your pets. They will not be admitted to the festival area and cannot be left in your vehicle. Pets are permitted in the campgrounds.
Minors: While ticketed minors (under the age of 21) will be admitted, this is an adult event, and no family activities are planned. For the safety and convenience of our guests, we ask that no strollers enter the tasting areas of the festival. Parents are encouraged to make alternative arrangements for child care during the event.
Food: There will be plenty of fine foods and beverages available for sale at the festival. Coolers will not be permitted in the festival grounds. Coolers are permitted in the campgrounds.
Your input on the festival is important to us! Look for comment cards at the welcome tent, or feel free to stop by the festival info office.
WHERE DO I BUY TICKETS?
Ticket sales are located in a building just before the festival entrance. The line to purchase tickets will form on the sidewalk to the left of entrance line. A "Gate" purchase will consist of a wristband designating whether you are a "Taster", a "Minor", or a "Designated Driver". Please be prepared with your photo ID.
If you purchased a ticket in advance, you have received a wristband in the mail. Proceed to the tent at the main entrance where you will pick up your Finger Lakes Wine Festival souvenir tasting glass and official event Tasters Guide (one per family, please). The Tasters Guide features general Festival information, activity schedules and a map of how to find things as well as a full page on each winery, with space allotted for your tasting notes. Plan to save your booklet to accompany you on your next trip to the Finger Lakes region to visit the wineries in their own unique settings.
There is no need to stop at the ticket office if you purchased your ticket in advance unless you are picking them up at the will call office. Designated drivers will receive their souvenir glass upon exiting rather than on entry.
All guests should be prepared with PHOTO ID showing proof of age.
WINE PICK-UP SERVICE
Don't feel like carrying your wine purchases around? Use our Wine Pick-up Service! Wine Claim Checks are available at the Welcome Tent, just inside the main festival entrance. We recommend filling out your claim checks in advance (it's also handy to bring name & address stickers). When you purchase your wine, give half of the claim check to the winery and hang onto the other half - you will need this to claim your wine. When you're ready to leave, bring your car around to the front entrance of the Wine Pick-Up area, or stop by on the way to your car, hand the Festival volunteer your half of the claim check, and they will retrieve your wine for you! If you need help back to your car, guest service personal will be more than happy to transport you and your wine!
Please note that it takes approximately 1 hour for your wine to be processed from the time of purchase. Wines purchased after 3:30pm each day must be taken with you. Wine Pick-Up is always busiest Saturday between 4 & 6pm. We thank you for your patience!
Please participate responsibly in the day's activities! The promoters, participants, and sponsors care about your safety. The Schuyler County Sheriff's Dept. will be onsite will be performing courtesy blood alcohol level checks during the event. They will also be operating a courtesy checkpoint at the departure gates to ensure your safety. Coffee and juices will be available for those who should wait before driving a vehicle.
Appropriate dress is required. Behavior considered offensive to others will not be tolerated.
